The header doesn't actually look that bad at all. Can you snap a picture of the inside of the collector please, when you get a chance. Also nice pickup on the bumper.

At the time of posting I was attempting to fix it myself. However when I could not find the problem right away I had no other choice then to bring it to a shop, being it was the only car I have on the road currently.

Turns out the wire going up to the fuse panel had a hidden break in it, so the alternator was only working some of the time. This also caused a fuse to pop, and the connections were all pretty dirty. After we fixed all that, she is good to go again. Thanks everyone.

I'm dropping it off at another shop tonight. The guy specializes with automotive electronics. I'm going to get him to check the battery before he gets too deep into it. I'll let you guys know what it was.

Yesterday my car suddenly died on me i was waiting outside a store for my gf to come back and i noticed my fuel gauge suddenly just dropped to empty. Weird I thought so I turned the car off tried to turn it back on and it was dead. Got it towed to my friends shop we put the battery on a charger (the battery is brand new btw) and put a new alternator on and it still wouldn't charge the battery light on the dash still came on. We checked the wires to and from the battery they all checked out fine. All the fuses were good. So we thought maybe its a defective alternator. Put another new alternator on today and the same thing. The battery still isn't being charged. At this point I'm lost as to what the problem could be. The alternator we took off was the original one, and we were sure that was the problem. Is there something I'm missing? Should I try a new battery? The one in the car is only a month old.

Have you ever thought about making provisions for using dry ice in your A2W setup? Obviously it wouldn't be something you would want to run all the time, maybe for the standing mile events. Might give you a few more horses, unless you are nearing the edge of diminishing returns as far as IAT for your setup.

Are you still spraying meth with your current setup? I assume you were using E85 for the latest dyno tune?

That graph is just beautiful. The torque must be a lot of fun as well.

Started looking into some of the electrical gremlins in my accord....I wish I hadn't  Cry

It's a mess going to be spending the next couple of days with some manuals and wiring diagrams...The wiring fuckery is real with this one...it seems like they wired just about everything into the god damn headlight switch for some reason...blower motor, cigarette lighter, etc...found out some wires for my front defroster weren't even hooked up.

I'm almost at the point where building a brand new harness might be easier then cleaning up this mess... :Smiley

Oh really? I'm looking for a head at the moment. K20a2,z3,k24a2 doesn't really matter.

Well the new motor is in. It took my friend and I all day Saturday to get it done. The car I got it from was a TOTAL right off though...I didn't even find any good interior parts in the car. All the windows were smashed, plastics were either broke or scratched to fuck (or chewed) and it was sitting outside for 2 years, something built a nest in there. It was garbage. When we were finished I just called a wrecker to come take it away, They gave us $100 for the car which bought food and beer for the day ahaha.

The motor on the other hand was Mint. Odometer read 53,434 miles. So much fresher then my old motor. It purrs like a kitten. Now to put it into storage for the winter, and start collecting some parts for the old girl.

Thanks Tim.

The car will be here tomorrow I'll take pictures and post them as soon as it does.

Been some time since I posted on here and updated my thread...been some time since I had the motivation to even work on my car. Had a rough patch there for a bit. My grandfather and my great aunt passed away, I lived with them most of my life. My grandparents and my great aunt pretty much raised me so it hit me pretty hard and I lost motivation to do much of anything. However I recently started getting the urge to do something so here we go.

I went and decided to take the head off the car to see what the hell was going on, it still didn't want to run even after putting all new sensors and a TPS in it......

Found out it wasn't the TPS, or the cam sensors or the crank sensors...should have did the math...the reason all the sensors were throwing codes was because the timing chain stretched (or the tensioner shit the bed) and threw the timing off  . The head is a mess...pistons look like crap. The block looks ok haven't taken it apart yet.  Sad

So I picked up a wrecked accord, a rollover I believe. Paid $600 for the whole car 4dr 2.4 auto I just bought it for the motor, and some pieces here and there. My friend and I are pulling a motor from the donor accord and my accord tomorrow. He wants my dead motor (he is building a k24/k20 RSX). The good news is the new motor has a lot less miles on it then mine did (Mine had 300xxx miles this one has just under 80k) So tomorrow should be a busy day.

If anyone wants anything off of it let me know and if it's in good condition and I feel comfortable you will be satisfied with the condition of the part I can take it off and ship it.  (I will take lots of pics). Depending on what you want I probably won't even charge anything just pay the shipping.

I'll take some pics of the adventure tomorrow

Went out and bought the mazda for a daily driver. So the accord is officially off the road and sitting at the garage waiting for tear down to start. I won't be able to get to it this weekend though, helping a friend fix his jacked-up F350...box sides and wheel houses, plus a full repaint....not fun.

On the plus side he's helping with the accord, so its give and take  Cheesy

So expect some progress updates and pics soon.

I have a question, is the only reason we have to use a dual ecu harness, or Tims setup for Kpro is because the cluster would not work?

I ask because I plan to swap in a k24a2, now would it be easier to just swap the clusters and or use the tsx harness in conjuntion with a setup like that? The dimensions on the clusters would be close if not the same I would think. I'm planning on picking up the motor out of a rear wrecked tsx from a local auto yard. Motor sounds great and the car drives well minus being smashed in the rear (from the videos anyways.) So I guess my question is should I grab the harness, cluster, and ecu while i'm at it?
