My parking brake has become very loose.  I have to pull it up all the way (max) for it to properly engage.  I'm pretty sure there is a spring? or tension adjustment on the brake somewhere which will allow me to take out this slack.

Anyone know how to do this?

There is a adjusment nut under the center console, it is part number 7 in the link below, you have to pull the floor pannel out of the center arm rest/ compartment, or pull the entire center piece out to get at it.

May this be because of driving with it on and/or trying to drift? If so you may have to do more than tighten it and replace a cable... I had to do that once as my stupid ass friend tried to power slide with my car and my right cable had to be replaced, fucker paid for it though.
