Title: Unused fuse slot, powered when light on.
Post by: redludesh on March 20, 2013, 01:56:57 AM
I was hoping to power the backlight for my boost gauge by just plugging it into an unused fuse slot in the driver side kick panel. Is there one that only gets power when I turn the headlights on? Or do I need to tap into the headlight fuse?

You'll probably want to tap into an existing wire/fuse Chris.

To my knowledge, there aren't any unused fuse slots that have power. I can poke around and see if there is a way to wire it up the way you want though.

I'm not sure if it receives constant power or not...but middle left hand side is a slot for "RR DEFROST" - I noticed that it's never had a fuse in it though (http://www.v6performance.net/forums/images/smilies/gotme.gif) if you have a test light or multimeter, just poke around at a few open slots and see which ones receive power or not while the car is on/off, lights on/off, etc.
