Ugh... Right when I get my suspension all right, riding smooth, all good...fucking check engine light comes up, bad cat
I have a High Flow Cat Converter, looked it up online and saw another person with a similar problem feeling their exhaust vibrate, which is what mine is doing
Anyone know of a reliable aftermarket cat? before I randomly go buy one at NAPA.

P0420 right? You have a high flow cat? I had that code with a high flow cat too. You can get an O2 sensor extension to fool it and get rid of the code.

Decided to put my car for sale and pick up something more practical.
Whaaaa?
Yup.

wow.. it's a fire sale. Z, you're seriously contemplating that legacy wagon?
Legacy GT? Yup.

Z, prepare for leaking axles. THEY all leak. I work on a lot of subarus, and just remember to change out all your fluids at every 30k interval. Brake, coolant, trans, front and rear diff. Also, if you plan on changing the manual tranny fluid yourself, you better pick up a half inch breaker bar and T-70 torx socket.
Thanks for the heads up Thien. I'm actually being practical and going to get the autotragic (I know, I know) since no one else in my house can drive a manual. Plus, it works out if I'm in a drunken stupor and wifey can drive home.

Actually, you need that T-70 torx no matter what. Because the front diff drain plug is that size. The rear diff is either a 1/2 drive bolt or 17mm bolt.

@Mike: I forgot to mention I currently have a magnaflow one now but I was thinking of getting another.
@Tim: Nice, I'll get that size. Yup, thats the code and I'll see what I do. Prob will replace the cat and if it does it again, then bypass it.
@Billy: Got it!

It's because it's a high flow cat. Honestly, you're just wasting your money if you buy another one. P0420 means the catalyst isn't working to efficiency. You get that with a high flow cat because my Magnaflow cat had the same effect.

Already put in an order for a Magnaflow cat, it didnt say it was a high flow cat. I'll throw it one for now.

Damn Ariel, did you even try clearing the code first? I got that code once in little over a year, cleared it and nothing came back. Not sure if it makes a difference that I'm running a test pipe tho.
Picked up some 3m rubbing compound for my bumpers. Will try it out this weekend
