do NOT buy the JDM dipstick. It is designed for a K20 with a higher capacity oil pan (and a shorter deck height if I'm not mistaken) and your oil level reading will be off. Paint your stock dipstick black.

Steve, you're correct that the jdm black dipstick if a different length than the oem Accord one, and I know this because I own one. But I just scraped new line level markings into mine so that it matches the oem lines, and it does the trick. I'm sure painting the oem one is easy though for anyone who wants to try.

i am going to attempt this this week...hopefully Friday
i got the VHT paint which other forums say its close to the Type R red; sand paper and the heat gun

I still wish Racecoated was still in business. Even though I have one of his valve covers I still wish he made them...he is truly an artist.

Yeah I painted my dipstick in about 15-20 minutes. Majority of that time was prep.
