1  K Series Performance / Engine and Drivetrain Performance / Re: Comptech SC from TSX fits 7G? on: January 03, 2013, 01:31:07 AM
ya i still got the charger sitting in the garage, i will most likely install it since i already have it but it will no longer be a full blown build like i had planned before. i have had a k24a2 with bolt ons and kpro for the longest, when the a4 motor crapped out on me i did the swap.

i had planned on doing a full blown build like Tim did but i felt like i was spending way to much on one car so i bought a second car a VW MKV R32 and mods for that are expensive lolz (at least the ones i want  Cheesy )so instead of going all out on the accord i sold some parts i had stashed up for the engine build (the rbc head, ips cams) still got a few extra stuff that i will get rid of (engine related, new bare block, tsx head, tsx crank) spare inspire front bumper, spare modulo front lip  Grin

the charger i was thinking of selling it but i have it and i also have a tsx trans so i will most likely install it and be done with the accord as far as performance goes, no forged motor just a plain k24a2 with a charger at 9-10psi tops and tsx 6speed.  Smiley

Sad darn I was hoping it would be simple swap..   Cry

But to be  the first person to do this would be kind of cool

i have seen it done before on a v6 accord coupe, the person that did the swap mentioned that the parts needed would be:

Acura TL/TL-S 04-08

45018-SEP-A60 Right Caliper $300+-
45019-SEP-A60 Left Caliper $300+-

44600-SEP-A01 Hub x 2 $42+- x2

51210-SEP-A01 Knuckle Assembly Right 206+-
51215-SEP-A01 Knuckle Assembly Left 206+-

Stainless steel Brake lines $100

pads 60-300 depending on pad choice
rotors 100x2

those prices are assuming you buy them new, but from a junkyard much cheaper.

couldnt find any close up pics of the brakes (for some reason the thread were i found the info is no longer up ) but if you look closely you can see the calipers and i know for a fact they are the tl-s brembos as i have seen the car in person and know the owner.

The pan has an extra 2 qt capacity.  It's also baffled.  It is supposed to clear the sub frame, but we will find out.  The other thing I realized is that the pan doesn't give enough clearance for me to use the circuit hero lower timing chain guide.  I'm going to have the guide machined for additional clearance.

Cant wait to see it all come together so many sickkk parts already, btw what cams ended up in there  Wink

how much bigger is the moroso oil pan compared to stock?  any problems with sub frame clearance?

Hey Alex...
I'm getting the TSX mirrors will these work as far as getting them to fold with the remote (as of right now I think they only fold like our stock mirrors by pushing them in)...?

The only mirrors with the powerfold function are the JDM Inspire side mirrors and the CL7 Euro R side mirrors and i believe the Euro R style (euro-r rep), they are built with the powerfold motors inside. So if you want the powerfold function you need to start with one of those first.

Thanks  Smiley

Nice shots man.  I am so jealous of the fact you have an Inspire hood.  I love the shape of that hood.
