Title: Tuning after my mods? Post by: Arielit0oo on October 26, 2010, 12:47:00 PM My plans for now are installing an 05 tsx manifold, dc sports header, port & polishing the manifold and doing a bypass mod.
When I get all of this done (this upcoming sunday), Should I get my car tuned? And what are the benefits. thnx guys Title: Re: Tuning after my mods? Post by: timot_one on October 26, 2010, 02:13:38 PM For those mods, it doesn't really justify tuning. Your stock ECU will adjust for the increased airflow. How exactly were you going to tune your car anyway?
Title: Re: Tuning after my mods? Post by: neoryan7 on October 26, 2010, 07:53:00 PM as tim said there really is no need to tune with the bolt ons.
Title: Re: Tuning after my mods? Post by: ShellzV6 on August 08, 2012, 01:26:24 PM i wanna tune my car but i know the V6 is more difficult then the K24. has anyone tuned a V6 and if so what have they used?
Title: Re: Tuning after my mods? Post by: CrackerTeg on August 08, 2012, 01:55:01 PM Paul would be THE guy to talk to. AFAIK, he and others have used the AEM FIC but I don't know the J series all that well.
Title: Re: Tuning after my mods? Post by: Fanitron on August 08, 2012, 02:03:25 PM ^Z is right, so far that is the only viable solution. If you're really interested, there is someone on V6P working on a piggyback mod that looks very promising. BTW, this is the thread for K-series tuning. We J-series guys have our own 8-)

Title: Re: Tuning after my mods? Post by: Fanitron on August 08, 2012, 02:54:17 PM Just wanted to point you in the right direction. That link to V6P is probably our best bet at a Tuning mod right now which won't cost over $1k. lol I'll stop thread jacking before these K guys get all moody... :D

Title: Re: Tuning after my mods? Post by: timot_one on August 08, 2012, 05:26:09 PM There's a thread on the Hondata forum about a J Series tuning option. You should post over there so they know there is interest.
Title: Re: Tuning after my mods? Post by: Armyguy239 on August 25, 2012, 08:59:50 AM I would need tuning wouldn't I? Or would a wideband and vafc suffice? I know im running rich.... Constantly backfiring :/
Title: Re: Tuning after my mods? Post by: gargantula99 on August 25, 2012, 10:53:29 AM There's a tuning craze going on in here.

Constantly backfiring :/ VAFC is a waste of money on a K Series. If you're running rich with basic bolt ons, then that's an indication that there's something wrong. What's your AFR? Title: Re: Tuning after my mods? Post by: Armyguy239 on August 25, 2012, 11:48:45 AM Dont know Tim, thats why i said i have to get one lol..... Im still on stock o2, and I bought a vafc on egay this morn :/
