Tokico "blues"
«
on:
March 22, 2009, 06:11:53 PM »
Looking into the next part of my suspension upgrade. I wanna get the Tokico "blues" series. Anyone know of a good website to go? What is the average price for a set of 4? I am getting results only for a 2003-2007 Honda Accord Coupe V6.
Went to:
http://www.JBKPerformance.com
Got part # HU3761 for the FRONT and part # HU3762 for the REAR. $74.17 each
So $296.68 for all 4, good price?

Well i found a set for 296.00 also, so it seems like a decent price.

What kind of springs are you planning on getting?

Inquired through
http://www.phantasmusa.com
and they told me:
Tokico doesnt make it for the 4 cylinder... Only the V6 application is listed on their website.
http://www.hitachi-hap-la.com/TokicoGasShocks/
KYB (341331) GR2 Series Front Strut $85.00 each (In Stock)
KYB (341330) GR2 Series Front Strut $85.00 each (In Stock)
Where are you located at? Local pick up or add shipping to you?
Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks for browsing our website. -Nam (919) 828-1722
Can anyone shed some light on this for me because I know A few people from the old G7A have the Tokico's so I dunno... Are these available for my car or can I use the V6 application? OR should I go with something else?

I thought Tokico had for the 4 cylinder. I'm not really sure if the shocks for the V6 would work. Just like how the springs for a V6 wouldnt work on a 4 cylinder due to difference in weight. Why dont you get the Supercup kit, keep the shocks and sell the springs?

Well right now I only have the Eibach springs... I just need the shocks. Any suggestions on shocks that will work well with the Eibach kit?
On another note I will contact Tokico and find out for sure. I can't see them making it for the V6 only, does'nt make sense to me.

Well ya best bet is to contact Tokico, but when you think about it the V6 application may work since you got the correct springs for the I4. I'm just not sure how the ride would be.

Well just spoke with Levi and he has confirmed that I
CAN NOT
go with Tokico for my shocks. That it would be best to go with Koni. They are more expensive so I guess I will have to save up some more $$$... ayeeee
http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/Susptabl.jsp?autoMake=Honda&autoModel=Accord+Sedan+EX+4cyl&autoYear=2003&autoModClar=&brand=all
Damn there on sale right now for $608 reguarly $674 not bad I guess but I know I will get what I pay for! I'm trying so hard to be dropped by the time JT and Krew come down in May but I don't see it happening that soon but we will see.
Thanks for everyone's input, it is really appreciated!

Did Levi say why you can't use em? Would be nice to know why and why dont you check neuspeed.com. They got the koni's going for 599.99 for shocks and springs. That's better than tireracks price no?
