Coupe vs Sedan Door sills
«
on:
September 28, 2009, 10:04:29 PM »
I tried to check the part numbers on honda automotive parts, along with v6p, here, and drive accord. Are the coupe and sedan door sills the same or no?
I am talking about these things:

I think you may have to figure this one out on your own dude. If you know anyone with a sedan near you that's willing to let you fuck with their door sills that'd be your best bet.

I would go out on a limb and say that they are different. I think the doors on the coupe are longer, and that would make the sill longer also. Just a thought.

They are different. Here's the proof.
Sedan FR Door Sill (Black) - 84202-SDA-A00ZB
Coupe FR Door Sill (Black) - 84202-SDN-A00ZA
For the record, hondaautomotiveparts.com lists their own part numbers. I went to hondapartsdeals.com for the actual Honda part numbers.

I'm in the process of making my own aluminum sills to replace the ugly, boring, stock black plastic ones. I will post up when done and see about mass production.

FYI TSX stock aluminum sills won't fit because they have different hook spots.
It could be modded to fit (they are the right length)
i bought some for 10$ to try out and it didnt work, maybe ill get around to modding it

I finally finished making and installing these. It's nice to have a shop and all the tools needed to do projects like these. I like the pedals and door sills, but I haven't decided if I'll keep the diamond plate floor mats. For the door sills, I will probably make another set and have them engraved with something, but I don't know what. "Accord" seems too plain to me.

Please toss the diamond plate floor mats. That's sooooo Fast n' Furious.

I think so too, but I like the feeling of a solid floor surface for my feet. I could re-make them in smooth aluminum rather than the diamond plate. I could just sell these.
