1  Styling & Maintenance / Exterior Styling & Maintenance / Help with dent repair on: June 29, 2011, 01:55:40 AM
Hey,

Does anyone know how I would be able to access this dent from the other side to push it out? Do you know if it would work if I pulled out the plastic side panel in the back seat? I've looked at the panel and it seems to be a pain in the ass to take out.

I really want to get this dent out and I'm not willing to shell out $150 to get a paintless dent shop to do it.

Your help is appreciated.

2  Styling & Maintenance / Exterior Styling & Maintenance / Honda S600 retro emblem on: June 29, 2011, 01:30:30 AM
Hey guys,

I picked up this emblem on ebay for $15 incl. shipping. It's a replica from the old S600. I think it's a pretty cool little addition.

...and yes, that is a dick my buddy drew on the trunk lid - I gave him shit for it already.

I pulled out the two white anchors for the original emblem and covered the holes with a strip of black vinyl - you can only see it up close if you really look for it.

I've been considering options to quicken the steering on my car as well. Does anyone know if the steering rack from the tsx would work with the steering column in the Accord? The columns look very similar in the diagrams (links posted below), but the part numbers are a bit off. Also, I can't find the steering rack part numbers anywhere for both cars?

...if only they would have built a TSX coupe with the J30 and LSD...it would have been a winner!

Thanks

Sorry guys, I searched earlier and didn't find anything about tl calipers...

I just read through that rl thread; thanks for directing me there! I'm going to msg Paul to see if he's still making the brackets.

They won't fit? Or you don't know?

Hey guys, does anyone know if these will fit our cars directly? Without any special brackets or anything? Front and rear.

Thanks,

Ryan

In case anyone wants to see what the 03-05 kit looks like on my 06 coupe, I just posted pics in the nighthawk pearl picture thread

Really hey? Is it because the redline fluid won't have the appropriate additives that Honda uses?

On a side note, do you have a V6? Have you installed an lsd?

...I went to a track day and had some lessons for a couple of hours back in September and absolutely loved it. I am going to get into it and take more lessons in May (winter is around the corner). Since then I've been doing some research into getting an lsd from the TL, I've found a few sources online that search wreckers in the but am not sure if the quality of lsd I can get from them. The prices were around $6-700. I have a friend who is a certified mechanic who will install it for me for a low price.

What are your thoughts?

Nah, they were in other forums. I just searched online for reviews on different MTFs.

Hey guys,

My '06 speed is just over 90k km (about 56k miles) and I decided to replace the tranny fluid with redline MTL synthetic. While doing some research online I had found people that say it makes a drastic, day and night difference in smoothness and notchiness. I just wanted to post and say while there definitely is a difference in smoothness, don't expect a anything significant.

So I bought the complete 03-05 kit and mounted it on my 06 coupe with little hassle. The mouth in the 06/07 bumper is a bit wider so I had to cut about 2 inches off of either side of the middle part of the lip. There's a vid posted on youtube of someone doing it for their sedan and I basically followed his lead.

The rear and sides fit perfectly without any adjustments.

A friend of mine said he'd be glad to take some pics of my car with his slr so I'll post some when we get a chance to do so...

13  Styling & Maintenance / Exterior Styling & Maintenance / 03-05 HFP front lip on 06-07 Coupe on: September 20, 2010, 10:46:59 PM
Hey guys,

I've found the thread talking about mounting the 06-07 lip on the 03-05 coupes, but I'm wondering if you know if it's possible to mount the 03-05 lip on the 06-07 coupe without too much cutting etc.

Thanks!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to say thanks for the input. I ended up ordering the supercup kit with race springs and ingalls camber kit today. I also threw in the neuspeed short shift kit while I was at it ha.

I'll post pics once everything is in.

Hey guys,

So...three dealers I've checked with can't find the hfp lip kit, looks like I'm going to get coilovers first (which makes more sense now). I've decided on spending about 1g on brand new coilovers. The site I bought my intake from (raceinspired.com) has quite a few choices for that price. Another factor that came to mind is my winter driving and whether these things will rust. I've found some info on the teins and that they can rust quite easily.

Do you have any insight on which ones might be rust proof? I will sacrifice adjustability for a better quality unit that will not rust.

Thanks for the help again.

Ryan
