Previous setup:
Sylvania 1157 clear
Sylvania 9005 Cool Blue
Who knows H11 Fake blue tint

Now:
Sylvania 1157 Amber (I got the Polarg but there is no difference except the price: $22 for a pair vs $3.98)
Nokya 9005 Yellow 2500K (Even the outbox states 80W, the draw is only 65W)
Nokya H11 Yellow 2005K (Even the outbox states 80W, the draw is only 55W)

Total investment: $63 - $22 of the Polarg: $41 including shipping

After a "trial & error" with the Polarg, I found 2 1157 bulbs in yellow for $6.50 + S&H. I installed them today and the look is incredible: Yellow High Beams + Yellow Fogs + Yellow Park.

Here are some pics:

Left - Yellow

Right - Amber Sylvania

Interesting concept, but the amber reflector in the headlight housing kinda fucks things up.

True statement. I need to find out how to change the reflector to a clear one.

No, actually light goes farther and better visibility under rain. In FL I think you can use it without issue.

I just ordered the 9005/HB3 hyper yellows by Nokya. Is your set up for the DRL's still okay?

Thanks,

Jason
