Just wanted to share with you guys some special news (well to me at least). I purchased The Blackhawk last June, and just got the title in the mail after paying the note in full 3 weeks ago. A little earlier than planned since I was shooting for April, but a great tax return and lot's of overtime got it done.

Payed it off throughout high school with summer money I had saved up (split the payments with my parents). Scholarship money payed it off, although the title is not mine yet! The title has been sitting on my dad's desk for the past year and a half waiting to be transferred. Every cent in modifications has come from my pocket (which is a lot).

cliffs notes:  saved money when i was a kid.  invested it.  turned 21.  the money grew.  bought the car.  booyea.

yea, i was always pissed when my dad used to make me put some of my christmas/birthday money away instead of buying jolly ranchers and ninja turtles.  now, im totally glad he did - except those ninja turtles still would have been sweet

Mine was over $27K new in December of 05. I paid $13250 last July and paid $7700 to pay it off last month.

I have 6 more months until the lease is up.  Then I'll be buying this girl out!  But there's a kid in my city who's selling a RTC Turbo kit, and it's really tempting.  However...  if I pick it up...  that turbo's going to belong to the Honda dealership

my mom and i payed her off 1 month after purchasing her used. traded in a fully loaded 05 gmc canyon 4x4 (mom's who also paid that off). the difference was less than like 500 haha.

Paid off since day one which was back in February of 03.

I have been a title holder since June 7,2007. Slightly used, but extremely nice ex-l sedan with 12k miles.

That's why I value my car... I work hard to pay it off.. and the day I get the tittle will be glorious... 2K more and it's mine..

i paid 18K for mine, they gave me 8k for my 6th gen so i paid little over 11k in cash including taxes and bs

I finished paying off mine back in july. I know own the bitch along with all the problems. So far so good tho.
I just noticed how cheap cars are in the states! I paid over 30k for my 4cyl exl. Sticker price on 6spd were 35k +taxes and everything.

Paid my 04 in full on in May of 2009, got a bonus @ work and used it for that. Feels good not having a payment....

Holy thread revival batman!  I'll play along... I haven't had a car payment in over 3 yrs.  House will be paid off soon too.  I'll miss the interest deduction at tax time.

Going on a year now with title in hand. Bought a 2nd ride with title in hand too. It feels good getting to keep that $300 or so in my pocket ever month. Plus i pay almost nothing for insurance since i take public transportation to work.

17 Years old- Mines paid off (technically)

Paid 4500 for it, 03 EX-l K24, Salvaged title and I did the work

I owe a bit on a personal loan I took out for some finishing parts, paint work, and wheels/tires for summer

I spent 1.5 years at a start-up working 60+ hour weeks with no weekends creating art for iphone apps to make my $.

I charged 15,000 to my debit card and drove away.

payed 17,500 for my baby at time of purchase and i own that bitch unused college money is fantastic lol!!

I know this is old thread but yea, I traded in my CG and paid cash and drove it off the lot. I've only had a car payment once in my life and I refuse to get a loan on a used car. The next time I finance a car it has to be brand new.

$4722.22 Left out of a $10k.  So if it were shares of stock I'd be the majority shareholder. :D

Bought mine outright for $7000 2 years ago!

um, PAID OFF! only owed $1150 on it mid october and paid it off early as hell. title in hand (at home) ready to sell to the interested buyer soon!
