«
on:
March 12, 2012, 10:04:00 PM »
Hey guys, I was 100% sure on where to post this question but i figured stock motors was a good choice. Please move it if it is in the wrong form, but my question is what is the torque specs on the valve cover bolts, and what is the order? Btw the motor is a k24a4,
thanks a bunch!

There's a torque spec for the valve cover? I've never torqued the valve cover down, unless you count German torque spec as an actual spec.

If you think about it logically, you want to be sure to torque it properly so you don't damage the gasket an have an oil leak. Its a rubber gasket, so it's easy to over tighten.

I have over tightend the valve cover bolts on Piero's ride before and snapped one of the bolts! So be really careful when tightening.... we had to special order the damn things and it came 2 days later.
