Paint Job

I've been looking and I haven't seen anyone address repainting an entire vehicle. I saw one person has for about 4 grand, but I wanted to see if anyone else had some more information? I wouldn't want to spend near that much. Maybe like a grand. I love the taffeta white, but I'm not putting a 4 thousand dollar value on it. Does it just come down to finding a body shop around here to do it and getting a quote? How hard would a self-paint be? Or maybe I should just let my taffeta dreams fly away..

When it comes to paint you tend to get what you pay for. I would say 4k is about average if not on the low side. If you can find a shop hurting for work you may get a better price.

The biggest cost with repainting a car is the prep work. If you're willing to do most, if not, all the prep, you can save the cash that way.

I understand that. Prep is still the biggest part of the cost.

Do a respray and then wrap it yourself. 3M has about 3-4 different whites in their 1080 series. Just an option

Thanks for the replies! I don't think I'd have the guts to prep it myself.. This might be a backburner mod for sure. Good to know about the pricing though.
