Recently noticed some squeaking in the wheel well area when I go over bumps for the most part. I'm not sure it it's bad shocks, sway bar bushings, squeaking springs... What should I be looking at? I took a look at the sway bar bushings, they look okay and they're only 8 months old (TL-S FSB with new bushings and brackets). If I try to make my car bounce by applying weight in that corner I don't hear anything. My suspension is stock other than front and rear sway bars. I can replicate the issue while turning and going over bumps/uneven road or while straight and going over bumps/uneven road. One thing I did was spray a bit of white lithium grease in the rubber joints to quiet them down. Worked pretty good. Mind you, I sprayed in the control arm bushings so that may help.

I had the same symptoms that you're having, except that if I pushed down on the passenger side fender, it squeaked as well. A couple of days later it went away.

Sounds like its on both sides now. I'm suspecting its my TL-S swaybar bushings and it still sounds after I soaked them with WD-40. Which joints should I spray down? I'm going to remove my wheel and spray any bushing I can find in that area. Noise is now coming from both sides.
Honda BUSH, FR. COMPLIANCE 51391-SDA-A03 x2 - $26.54 Honda BUSH, FR. ARM (LOWER) 51393-SDA-A02 x2 - $15.50 Honda BUSH, FR. SHOCK ABSORBER 51810-SDA-A01 x2 - $26.42 I assumed bushings are the same for both sides. Compliance bushings are definitely torn and in need of replacement. I'm not sure if my ball joints are okay. I'm going to replace these, get an alignment and hopefully it fixed the noise. If not, new sway bar bushings and brackets for the front I guess. Anyone know if the endlinks (from the swaybar) can cause this noise? |
