Weird stereo issue

So my stereo will randomly turn on when the car is locked. The other day I came home at 2am parked my car locked it..went inside. Woke up and my mom told me my car radio was playing..I figured she must have heard something so I didn't go check it out..I went out 2hrs later so about noon and I walked out side and the radio was on. Playing the radio at the same volume I had been listening to when I turned off the car..then I tried starting the car and it barely started.. so in a nutshell the cars radio will play whenever it wants to even if no one is in the car

We're going to need some information to understand the problem better. Is it an OEM radio, or aftermarket?

If its stock its a problem / short with the radio. Only real solution is to replace it with the metre kit and an after market head unit. Other option is buyinh a stock radio off of like eBay, only problem being it may also short.

I've seen this happen with faulty ignition switches in other cars.
