Hey guys me again. Yesterday I hit a pothole and now for my car to go straight I need to turn my steering wheel a little bit to the left. I mean if I let go of the wheel the car goes in a straight line and doesn't pull to either side but for my car to go straight forward I need to turn my wheel a little bit to the left. Will an alignment solve this? Or is this a different thing? Like I said my car doesn't pull to either side if I let go of the steering wheel. Thanks!

Wheel alignment will either solve it or point out what is wrong. If something is bent the alignment machiene will find it.

Definitely start with an alignment.

If the alignment doesn't cut it what else could it be?

The alignment shop would point out the issue to you. It could be that something got bent (tie rod etc.)

Alignment is the the result of precision tuned suspension components.  Your alignment can be thrown off if you bend a component.  Visual inspection can sometimes determine the cause, but you need to have the vehicle aligned to make a conclusive determination of what is either bent or outside of specification.  Alignment issues are of two varieties; correctable, and repairable.  The correctable variety occur when you put the suspension out of aligntment only slightly and the vehicle can be brought back into specification without replacement of parts.  The repairable variety occurs when you REALLY mess something up and new components are installed to correct the problem.  An alignment is done to determine the severity of the misalignment and to assess if the vehicle requires replacement parts.

Cliffs: Get an alignment done so you can determine if you need parts or not.  You have a 50% chance of being able to get the car aligned without installing any new parts.  See your dealer or whomever does your alignments.
