Disclaimer:This is not intended to spark political debate, mods, delete if you feel necessary.
So the president is in town today here in chattanooga. From the time AF1 was 30 minutes out, and will continue to go on until 330-4, the women in the big room I'm working in have been huddled around a computer watching and talking loudly and have reverted back to some form of wanna be street English. I thought with me being on desk duty it was nice that I didn't have to block the interstate for the motorcade, is rather be standing in the sun listening to radio silence than listening to these people. I can understand, I'm even a little excited that the president is here in my home town, but in no way does it affect me, or my ability to do my damn job. These people are already months behind on their work.

So what you're saying is that a government employee is using the visit from the president as an excuse to not do their job. We are talking about the government here right? The most inefficient and disorganized system where it's employees have very little accountability and no fear of losing their job from lack of performance?
