Title: something very tragic to the accord
Post by: exelr8 on March 21, 2009, 04:02:59 AM
Well tonight at work was one of the best nights i have had in a while everything was going smooth. I got off work a little early, changed clothes and headed out to where everyone hangs out. Well, we all met up at hobby lobby and then we headed out to my friend corey,s shop. Tonight was the first time i have ever been out there and when we got there, there was hardly any room for cars so i parked behind Corey. Well about 130 we decide we are all hungry so Corey, Ashley, and myself get in coreys dads car( which corey was driving tonight) and started to a taco bell run. Well, we get in the car and corey starts to back out and did not remember i had parked behind him... Needless to say the accord got hit  :o . It only damaged the front driver side fender and possibly the door from where i have had to open and close it to drive it. I am torn. Just as I fall in love with the car again this happens =[. Luckily Corey and his dad are not being assholes about it and agreed to pay to have it fixed. I reckon i get to spend my saturday off getting quotes for body work =[. Thanks for reading guys. Hope everyone has had a great night... At least better than mine. For now, I am going to go cry myself to sleep

I will post better pictures tomorrow:

Ah! That sucks! Almost the exact same thing happened to me Friday morning, except I backed into my sister car, why she parked me in, I have no clue, as I was pulling out of the garage, and it was pitch black. Good thing your getting it fixed!

well the only person  cld talk to about body work was my friend fuzzy who does really good work (body shops are closed on saturday for some reason). Fuzzy told me 500 would cover parts labor and rolling fenders... Tomorrow before work i am going to get a few quotes from body shops too just to see my options

Don't cry for too long :)  That dent is only temporary.  It'll look great soon enough!  Good luck with the fix.

That sucks about the damage, but it's good to hear that your friend is paying for it and the cost of repair isn't ridiculous.

Actually according to everyone i have talked to it needs a new fender the crease* can't be pulled out so it needs a fender and paint...But good has come from this... Turns out i get 20% off parts at honda so if you guys need anything and cant get it at a better deal holler at me

Good to know BigMike. The reason PDR came to mind was because I noticed there wasn't any paint damage to the fender. I guess full-replacement is your only alternative. Thanks for sharing the discount!

Wow Mike that's tragic, I would've loved to have known the outcome if the dent would've been caused by someone else.
Dent are temporary, friendships last a lifetime.

Exactly... I would much rather have corey as a friend than piss him off he has a shop and lift i can use whenever i need... and he is awesome to hang around.

I got a quote and job offer yesterday from Abra Auto Body and that was lovely haha 970$ to replace fender and paint and pin stripe

Damn!!!! $970??
Shit for that price I can get at least half of the car painted.
Want me to find out how much I can get a fender out here for? let me know.
I'm pretty sure if you can supply the fender it'll knock off a couple hundred off the repair cost.

oh yeah that was just a quote from an actual body shop my friend is going to do it for 500 cash money and roll/possibly shave my fenders for me and im trying to talk him into tinting the tails for me too included in the 500 lol but i will prolly have to pay 50 out of pocket to get it done... my friend that hit me should have the money this week to give to me to have it fixed HOPEFULLY
