Haha we actually did a whole restoration on one of those trucks when I took my autobody course. The whole deal, body off frame, sanded down and painted frame and totally redid the whole body. I wish I had finished product pics but I only have progress pics. So much fiberglass...:p someone repaired the back portion of the cab before but they freaking BRAZED the back panel in. Warped everything to hell and just covered it in fiberglass we fixed it proper though ahaha.

I just think it would be badass to cruise around in an old car/truck, throw on some chrome wheels, lower it and just drive. Fix it up enough to where it’s drivable. Do some cruise ins, car shows and whatnot

I would go with a Chevy instead of ford though.  Just cause I'm a GM guy.

When old navy got rid of all their trucks from their stores I was looking to get one to use as a starting point. Go for it.

I'm a Ford guy sooo...but it needs a driveshaft, pedals,master cylinder and steering column, rest is in tact, rebuilt cammed 460 motor, not runing...the Coronet is runing and has new paint, Ford would needmore work but thats partially the fun of a project

I vote truck with a shave & tuck engine bay (gonna be probably pulling the motor if it doesn't work anyways) bagged with some nice rims and nicely stained and finished hardwood planks for the bed floor.

Well the Coronet sold so it’s on to the truck. Seems kind of off to rebuild the motor and don’t get it running then say fuck it and sell it. I guess some projects get old. My immediate plans now are to just find something that is fixable to drive, then down the road get into really fixing it up. Putting in some new hardwood planks sounds like a good idea. Just to get it running right and sounding mean would be my #1 goal.

If you really want a hot rod, you should get a 32 3 window coupe since you're a Ford guy.  That's a real hot rod.
