It basically is a restyled 8th Gen.  That's probably why I don't like it at all.

Yeah I'm hopin they do something with the pillars/ windows... they're straight of the 8th Gen... but the car does looks bit longer.

Actually, I don't mind that its a hybrid.  Honda is tending towards advancing technology, toning down some styling in order to focus on the technology.

I can't deny the technological innovation they came up with in the NSX.  The handling they have been able to achieve by ridding of the drivetrain in favor of electric motors controlling the tires is awesome.  It's an electric AWD system.

Honda is actually heading towards replacing the automatic transmission with a dual-clutch system as well.  The automatic transmission they will be using in the 2.0 4cyl engine of the ILX is going to be dual clutch.

They even went as far to implement the electric AWD system in an 8th gen Accord, and it has been stated that it handles extremely well, and I believe some magazines reported that it is on par with some supercars.  Also, if you look at the HSV-010 GT video of it on Nurburgring, you'll notice that it stays flat through the corners.  It is using the new electric SH-AWD system.  Now that is some handling characteristics that I can certainly appreciate.

but it would probably sell.  it's not as aggressive, and it plays towards the masses.  in my opinion, it is bland.  but people like bland, they like cars and designs that they can get used to.  it's not a love it or hate it design as much as it is a "i can get used to this" design.

I think I’m going to buy a hot rod, I know I’ve said it before but after looking I can find one fairly cheap. I think I have the knowledge base to fix one up if not my uncles could come over and help their all former hot rod nuts (69 Chevelle, 67 Mustang, 69 Camaro). I’m excited about this and the wifey has bought in on it so it’s a go!
