I finally find a 6MT from an individual and it’s priced $3k over RETAIL @ $18k!. I might as well go buy that other 6MT with the same miles with a  shitty clutch and just fix it. Thoughts on that?

He's dreaming in a fantasy land beyond the Milky Way!  It's a 5 year old car that had an initial sticker price of ~$29,400.  Especially with that kind of mileage, I wouldn't pay a dime over $12k to $13k..  and that just seems high to me.. but i also owned the same car, variance of color, lol..

Yeah, is it me or does that seem cheap as hell?  Someone on another forum Im on is sellin a '97 with 170k on the clock for $18k. 

The red one looks CLEAN and its only got 80k, granted on a 20 year old car, but jesus is it clean. haha  I LOVE the wheels too.

Not cheap actually.  That's about right for a 91 NA1..  at least, i expect NA1's to go anywhere from $17k to $20k..

I think the issue is that Jer is expecting a used car to be in the same condition of a new car.  It's time to realize that whatever used car you get, there will be faults.  You can either live with them or fix them.  I'd get the one with the bad clutch and replace the clutch.  To me, that would be worth the expense of a new clutch.
