The first things that come to mind when thinking about the Speed 3 are (in no particular order):

Torque steer from hell
Get a chiropractor on speed dial
Reliability issues

My dads regular 3 had crazy torque steer, and I have heard bad things about the Speed3 engines reliability too.

Look at it this way...  its a short term relationship to begin with plus there is no such thing as a perfect car (not even the CM i.e. last week's recall for tranny issues).  Buy a car that works, drive it for a few years and move on to the next one.

Who has 3rd gear TSB's and less aftermarket support? Not this guy!
