What do you guys think of the 2nd gen TSX? I personally think it looks nice on the outside (although I still would prefer the 1st gen). However, I'm only looking at certified pre-owneds, and they're all 2009 or newer. An idea was thrown out to give my car to my sister who's about to get her license, and then get me a TSX. I'm not entirely sure what my budget will be, though. Most of the CPO TSXs are around $22-24,000 with about 30k miles.

I'd rock the second gen TSX. Of the face lifts, it's the best looking one.

I like that idea.  You looking at 4 or 6 cylinder TSX's? I personally think the CPO warranty is an excellent warranty. If you're going to buy used, that would be the route that I would take.

I'd drive the 2nd Gen TSX as well, although, like you said Jeff, I would also prefer the 1st Gen ('06-'08 models because of the changes to the ASPEC aero and the potential performance possibilites).

And damn you NY Auto Show.  Now liking the new S3 sedan and CLA-45 AMG (coupe inspired sedan).  Saving my pennies now.  Kids don't need college, right???

Is an 04 TSX 6speed with navigation and 97miles worth purchasing at $11,800? it's a 9 year old car at this point, and I'd be taking a loan for another 5 years...

I personally wouldn't, but that's just my opinion.  By the time you're done paying it off its a 14 year old car.  I wouldn't buy anything over 3 years old, but I make believe I have a money tree in my back yard.

I keep sticking on that thought as well, but it's a one owner car and the dealership is offering a 2 year basic/powertrain/roadside assistance warranty..
