If I were Jeremy and I could buy a new car, even though it wasn't lightening fast, I would get the Scion FR-S and call it a day.  It's new, all of the issues if any would be covered under warranty.  It's price point is where I want it to be, it has a back seat so both his kids can go for a ride with him.... I just don't see a negative.

The toybaru isn't quick out of the box. It really isn't practical. Sure it has 2 seats in the back, but it can barely fit my 2 kids back there. I do have to say, it is a damn fun car to drive. Something fast for under $25k would be a used STi, EVO, or something in that nature.

I'd stay away from any domestic made car. Everything is made poorly. Its not as refined as say an import or euro. Look at the crappy body panels on the vette. I'm just putting my 2 cents in. As for the cobra, just be aware you can only go fast in a straight line. Turning corners is a challenge for that car.

i still don't see a negative.  One Kid in the front with the passenger seat pushed up a little, giving leg room to the kid in the back.  The STI or EVO would need to be used to be in his price range.  I say stick to new.

There is a huge negative to this car for jer if he wants the car now. There is a 6 month waiting list for toybaru. Both fr-s and brz. The contract with Toyota and Subaru is that for every 10 brz made, they have to make 90 gt-86/fr-s.

He can wait. He's been waiting this long, so he can wait a little longer.

They are readily available in my area. Toyota and Subaru both have them on the lots

There is none at any of my Toyota or Subaru dealer. I was just at my dealer to get my windows fixed under warranty. They all say there is a 6 month waiting list. I even talked to the Scion Rep at the auto show that is in town here in Colorado. He even says there is a 6 month waiting list. I have no clue, but I waited 2 months for mines. I got one of the first few in the US.

All bullshitting aside. All "jeremy just buy something" aside. Whats the badest, fastest thing I can buy under $25k? Other than a vette? I've got this urge to say fuck it and I want something fast. But its all relative, whats fast anyways? I can get an 09 STI for $26k...ehhh. I dunno. I need options or opinions.
e46 M3..  Space, luxury, performance.. A bit raw, but its a bit more performance oriented than luxury.

Used A5, or if you go up a bit on price, used S5..

Used GS350.. Used G37S..

And the list goes on. With a couple of those options though, maintenance costs are no joke.

Just get a Pontiac G8. Its virtually a Holden Commodore. RWD V8 and a sedan to fit your kids.

I distinctly recall that very car being mentioned a few pages back.

Maybe even a G8 GXP. I'm not sure what those go for, but I'd take one.
