My friend owns a Mazda Speed 3. Has about 50,000km on it and the turbo smokes like a bastard. Oil leaks out and burns off. Like it was said earlier, they are notorious for it.

Don't know about newer 4Runners but I had a '00 4Runner SR5 V6 and it was a beast... put it through all kinds of hell, including off-roading and it never quit or even gave me any troubles. If it didn't get totalled 4 years ago I would still be driving it.

So after my weekend camping out on Carolina Beach, Ive decided that I want a cheap Jeep Wrangler.  So once I get out on my own and stabile with GF, thats what im saving for. Lol
