Thermoblock spacer and gasket
«

well i tried to clean my throtle body yesterday after car sat on driveway for like half hour if not more. i could not touch the throtle body or the intake manifold. its too hot so it cant be good even though stock engines are like that. i meet up with one of Dean( i think, his screen name is worldononefinger) the one that Paul did j33 built, and we opened his engine as soon as he got to shop where i got my camber kit put on and his IM was very nice and cool, you could touch it with no problem for long period of time, i asked him and he said he had thermoblock spacer, so i can deff say it does its job so now i want to get one as well. check on v6p and ppl recomend outlaw engineering ThermoBlok SPACER KIT, which is only $113 shipped. im going to get one but is there other once that you guys recomend? i think there is P2R but they dont have one for v6 accord(only for TL and CL), im sure both do same thing.

decided. gona get outlaw engineering one. gona order it today
update. called p2r and they said that theirs is just 1/8" thermal gasket, not spacer like outlaw. this explains why its much cheaper.

throttle body spacer and thermal spacers are different things. throttle body spacers usually used to direct airflow in certain way
thermal body spacer is to reduce thermal conductivity between IM and throtle body to lower intake temperatures
we talking about 2 different things i think

I think he's getting it more for the purpose of reducing heat soak from the motor to the IM and TB.

too bad its spacer between upper manifold and runners. that means runners will still get hot. but at least biggest piece will be cool

P2R makes the gasket for our car. I was planing to get the one from the head to the injector base, The injector base to the im, and the Im to the TB. it was like 86 shipped or something

just called p2r and talked to Sean i think. he said that spacer for 04+ TL are same as for accord. im sure its about right since IM almost same. so its safe to order TL one? maybe TL openings for intake runners(if im calling it right) are same or little bigger then stock accords. if they are bigger is it possible to get them to increase airflow?

The TL and Accord has the same IM, Intake Runner, and Throttle Body. Its the same part number all around. So anything P2R offers for the TL will work for the Accord.

Every time I'm working under the hood on my J, I notice how damn hot the IM is. Even the strut tower bar is hot as hell and it's not even attached to the engine! Basically you can't even touch anything under the hood without burning yourself. I am
very
interested to hear more feedback on this topic.
