I doubt it's the "brain" of the car, but it may be tied into the BCM.

had a problem in my jeep, it was a power wire in the boot from the car to the door...fwiw

Actually guys, you're supposed to use Shin Etsu grease on the window tracks. I'm pretty sure it comes with an applicator brush. Just roll your window up, reach in the door, and brush it on.
