The Accord is a double wishbone. The strut of the Accord has a fork that is connected to the lower control arm. The DC5 is a MacPherson strut which the strut is connected to the knuckle.

The accord steel I'd probably 7-10 lbs at most. Its not worth it. You are better off going on a diet just to lose 10 lbs.
