OEM Player on the AV6

When I got the Pilot, it can play MP3 CD's, So I decided to install the player in the Accord. Took me about 2 hours with the interruptions of the kids (wife didn't want to watch them :wink:  One thing: if you are not planning using/selling the cubby, instead of prying out the coin holder to have access to the 2 screws, pull the whole piece (holder and outlet) towards you. Then you can remove the 2 screws outside.

If you car has the VSA system, you have to use the small bracket on the bottom.



Locate the auxiliary plug. It will be in the upper left corner where the cubby was, tied to the chassis with blue tape



XM radio owners: if you want to keep the radio, need to get the harness to attach 2 devices into 1 input:



Upper brackets installed. Look on the cable, keeping the XM Radio connected.

At this point, my suggestion is to test everything: player, XM and radio before closing the area.

Total invesment: $152.00 (player from eBay $71 shipped & mounting kit including the XM radio harness from dealer $81.
