Title: OEM Player on the AV6 Post by: rafaeljose73 on April 12, 2009, 08:54:13 AM When I got the Pilot, it can play MP3 CD's, So I decided to install the player in the Accord. Took me about 2 hours with the interruptions of the kids (wife didn't want to watch them  One thing: if you are not planning using/selling the cubby, instead of prying out the coin holder to have access to the 2 screws, pull the whole piece (holder and outlet) towards you. Then you can remove the 2 screws outside.
If you car has the VSA system, you have to use the small bracket on the bottom. (http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu148/rafaeljose73/Player007.jpg) Locate the auxiliary plug. It will be in the upper left corner where the cubby was, tied to the chassis with blue tape (http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu148/rafaeljose73/Player008.jpg) XM radio owners: if you want to keep the radio, need to get the harness to attach 2 devices into 1 input: (http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu148/rafaeljose73/Player010.jpg) Upper brackets installed. Look on the cable, keeping the XM Radio connected. (http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu148/rafaeljose73/Player011.jpg) Player with the new pocket (http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu148/rafaeljose73/Player012.jpg) At this point, my suggestion is to test everything: player, XM and radio before closing the area. (http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu148/rafaeljose73/Player013.jpg) Final product (http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu148/rafaeljose73/Player014.jpg) (http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu148/rafaeljose73/Player017.jpg) Total invesment: $152.00 (player from eBay $71 shipped & mounting kit including the XM radio harness from dealer $81. Hope this will help others on this task. Title: Re: OEM Player on the AV6 Post by: cna on April 12, 2009, 10:10:28 AM looks sick great investment
