I'm pretty sure they replaced something internally. I remember something about a pin and a latch.

I got my snow tires mounted on my winter wheels, then cleaned, sealed, and waxed them and dressed the tires.  Putting them on tomorrow and doing a few other things.

Finally finished ordering all my necessary parts for my winter overhaul.

And realized now that my power steering pump is dying. WTF!!!! as soon as I resolve some issues, someting else pops up.

Anybody ever had their Power steering pump die on them?

Nope, but there was a TSB/Recall on the Honda pumps. All they do is replace an O-ring on the return line side. If you loss so much fluid, then the pump will need replace. Those pumps are easy to replace.

Thanks Thien,  probably easy to replace but not cheap. I will look into the TSB and hope that my mechanical breakdwon insurance will cover this if the TSB doesn't.

I put on my winter wheels today.  No real pics yet Milan, but they will come eventually.  I also removed and cleaned my IACV to resolve some idle issues I've been having.

I'm on my 2nd PS pump.  I have a feeling that my rack is going though.  This pump is less than a year old and came off a TSX.  It shouldn't have gone bad.

The car  has a whine from the engine. and the whine gets intensly louder when moving the steering wheel back and forth. The sound is from the power steering pump and is the same thing that happened to my Trans Am way back.
