99% of the tow hooks you see on street cars are cosmetic.  They do serve a purpose, but what's the point of installing a functional part when you don't use it for it's intended purpose.  Sorry Clemente, that's just how I feel.  I do believe the guys in the city use the tow hooks for a different purpose though when parking on the streets.

A good chunk of those tow hooks are not only cosmetic because people don't use them, they are also cosmetic because of the material and/or the way they are mounted to the car.  If it's a cheap tow hook, or it is improperly mounted, then it won't be functional.

Yup. For the very same reason Arie had that front license plate frame. To fuck up the other car if they get backed into.

The oem license plate bracket is what fell off from a harsh bump , My tow hook is strictly to save me from buying a new bumper every year from bad drivers who dont know how to park , Since  i do park in the streets

The plan was to do it with the same carbon fiber style, but now I'm thinking of just doing a straight black vinyl. So essentially, it would look just as it is right now without the clear coat damage. Still undecided
