It won't damage the integrity if done properly. How much room to you need. If you have a little ground clearence you could even support the sub from the bottom and notch it out low rider style.

My main concern is that I will be crushing the sub frame in that area. I can't exactly lower that "hump" any because then I'll have header clearance problems. If I notch it, the labor to cut and weld will not be cheap because I'm sure there will be some metal shaping involved. Here's pics of the EPS rack and the lack of clearance.

Took off some parts and painted them SSM. Pics will be up after I wash her tomorrow. She's filthy.

Put my original hydraulic rack back in and bolted up the front lower sub frame. Had to get my car back to a roller again so I can move it next week.

You should send it back to Dremel. They have a 5 year warranty. Their service is unreal though. Just send it to their repair facility and they'll have it fixed and on its way back to you in 48 hours. If thy can't fix it, they'll send you a new one. I have 3 Dremels and have never had a problem sending one in.
