 Autofair are using the J35 TB on the new civics for an upgrade to their stock TB. At that price it's relatively cheap to. Got me to wondering if this can be fitted to the 06+ accord manifold or the 06+ TSX manifold as an upgrade for the DBW guys. Even if someone was to get an adaptor made to use it. Something to think about.

Cool stuff. Adapters are easy enough to have machined.

If someone wants to send me a mani, orig TB, and new TB I am sure I can come up with a adaptor.

If I had a DBW accord I would deff do just that. Hmmmm... Maybe one of the guys over on V6P might be interested. I seen a lot of TB upgrade threads for DBW guys over there.

Would the diameter of the intake not matter? Are they the same for the J35 and K24/20?

It might, of course that is what porting is for ;)

If I had a DBW Accord, I'd donate my IM and TB for you to make an adapter Paul. 

If the power gains from this are worth it I wouldn't mind sending Paul a TSX intake manifold and the j35 throttle body....hmmm

Or how about a 75mm TB???? I wont say exactly where I found the TB, but it is made for another OEM by Denso and is Wire compatible.....

Made for another OEM by Denso? The only OEM I can think of is of a domestic breed and I'm assuming that's why you're not saying Paul.

You might get in trouble if you try and ship that to Miami Paul.  It may be best to have him come pick that up instead.

Nice find with the TB though.  I know it's difficult for the DBW guys.  You're absolutely right that it's easier for those of us that have a cable TB.  I know a popular K Series upgrade for people that need it is a 90mm Mustang TB.

Wasn't there something about upgrading to the 06-08 TSX throttle body for 06-07 Accords? Or was the conclusion that there is no difference between the two?

Also, it's probably not worth getting too much larger of a throttle body (and port matched everything else) on an untuned engine, right? The way I see it, the car is going to see more air coming in, but also at a slower velocity, so it has to accommodate for that somehow. But I'm sure a couple millimeters would still help regardless.

The ECU sees the slower AV with the MAP sensor and MAF sensor and adjusts. Yes having tuning can take more advantage but our stock ECUs are pretty damn intelligent.

So when will be project 5.7 Toyota TB come into play? I would like to take advantage of this.

Sweet jesus, make sure to put a filter on the end of the intake so you don't accidentally suck up any stray dogs or little kids into that thing :D

Ohh yeah, a stock V6 TB is only 65mm..........

TL TB is 68mm, right?  77mm is a nice size TB though.  Most of the cars here don't need anything that big though.

They are also 65mm except for the new 3.5L TLs they are 68mm

What kind of build do you think would benefit from a 77mm TB Paul?

J33,J35,J36,K with headwork and heavy cams......

The way you casn tell is on the Dyno when you see a plateu in power before redline, usually it is a breathing issue where the engine just can not get enough air to fully feed it.

Is the Toyota 5.7 TB a direct bolt on or will it need an adapter?

Manifold itself will need major porting and weld-up work to open it up.
