Brake Fluid ... Which One?
«

Hey guys me again. I got back home from college only to see that my brakes weren't installed yet ... So I'll be getting the job done tomorrow and I was wondering which brake fluid should I buy regular Dot3 or 4 or the Honda brand? Also how many bottles will it take? Is there a high performance brake fluid that will not mess up the components or any sealing of the system? Thanks again!

I recall this already being talked about. Just stick with dot 3 brake fluid.

ATE Superblue or TYP200 all the way. I won't use anything else on my cars. Excellent wet & dry boiling points and hydroscopic nature. Plus it's colored so you see when new fluid is coming out.

+1 on the ATE! I has the Blue and need some yeller.
If you are willing to bleed the brakes often, I heard the Ford Racing stuff ain't bad.
I know of a couple of road racers that really like it. It suck up moisture pretty quick in those conditions, thus the frequent bleeding.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I might be going with the ATP Blue or with the Honda one. If so I know that 1L of the ATP should be enough (right?) but if I were to buy the Honda one which comes in 12oz bottles how many I should buy? Thanks! I'd say it'd be about 3-4 12oz bottles right ?
