Considering leaving the Driveaccord.net

They have a thread about things that you hate on the accord. Then, why they want to keep the car or actually , got it on the frist time. Althougt it has good information on it, it is pointless to have that type of discussion.
At least, this is my $0.02 on it

I think that myself and most of the other members on here would like to avoid this type of thread because it has the ability to cause animosity accross the various forums as it did with GEN7.
This also belongs in off topic.

Ive been a member of that site and the other one and neither provide half the information as this site or jdmuniverse. This
is just oppinion and should be taken with a grain of salt. I get on both site from time to time to check the for sale page
and thats about it.

I visit here and v6p and that is it. Anything that I really need can be found between these two sites. As for Gen7 or Driveaccord.net, I removed them from bookmarks a long time ago. Besides, the people I enjoyed speaking with are all here anyway

I've never been an active member there. Sorry to hear that you don't like it. At least you're a member here though. I'd put my efforts into a site that you like instead of wasting your time trying to change a site that you don't like.

I agree that we probably shouldn't discuss other forums here, but this knowledge is good to have because it shows that users are unhappy and we might be able to recruit users for this site. Notice that I didn't say "steal" or "acquire". We here at ECM want to provide the best information the first time around..that is our mission statement. This discussion is a double-edged sword and it's based on opinions. Personally I don't see a problem with talking about what we don't like about our vehicles...that's how cars are made better...complaints and countermeasures...if the thread really is named "what I HATE about the accord", then it's kind of a put down...if it were something like "what I dislike or would make better about my accord", it would send more of a constructive message.
If other users feel the same way, point them in our direction. Elite CM is open for business. We are the new shop on the block and we need to get our name out!

My feelings exactly. The only other site I frequent is FLAccords since I am a moderator there and help out with some issues form time to time. Other than that, ECM is my new hangout and V6P is my good parts trading resource.

i've been over on that issue before when i would post up questions or pics about gen 7s and got less than like 5 replies. i would then post a thread saying "no 7geners on here?" and get yelled at by an older group of people with 8th gens and some of them even bashing 7th gens b/c they are "old" and 8th gen is the latest crave. whatever. i post up sometimes but there's a lot of rice on there and pointless threads

I've been on there for five years and think it is an excellent site, it's aimed at a different crowd than this one. Where a big mistake was made was opening it up to 8th gens. Too many children whose Mommies bought them new cars. Frankly I don't see a problem with asking people what they do not like about their car. I liked the Accord overall but there were several things that were just plain ass stupid by design......same with the RAV4 I have now. There is no perfect car, if you think your's is perfect then it's your first car and you have no experience. I can say I do not go to the site that brought us all together and helped spawn this one. It was ruined in so many ways, sad indeed.
