It's not ceramic inside a stock cat though.

I think it's platinum, that's why it's worth so much

that stuff inside your cat is worth $$
I just installed hfpc's and a hi-flo cat, took my old pre-cats and cat to a recycler and got $120...
7  Suspension & Handling / Suspension & Chassis / Re: Control Arm Bushing Question on: October 27, 2013, 08:12:07 AM
Having a press is a big plus. I actually have a tool that I bought years ago to replace the trailing arm bushings on my Integra. The aggravation would come from trying to FIND that tool, and I'm not sure it would even work on our LCA's...
So I figured $65 per side wasn't too bad, by the time I bought bushings, then tried to change them out...
Like I said, had my hands full with transmission swap.
8  Suspension & Handling / Suspension & Chassis / Re: Control Arm Bushing Question on: October 26, 2013, 07:21:08 PM
I just went thru a transmission swap. When removing the LCA's, I noticed the bushes were somewhat deteriorated. Decided to just replace the both LCA's rather than going thru aggravation of doing the bushes. I think they were about $65 apiece.
Had enough aggravation going on w/trans...

Well, the Optima's are still around... Are they really as crappy as you guys say?

Also, does anybody have any feedback on the Odyssey pc925? I know the 680 would be too small, but the 925 might work, yes or no??

14  J Series Performance / Engine and Drivetrain Performance / Re: Deactivating your ABS / VSA in the snow on: March 09, 2013, 02:01:50 PM
when the roads are really crappy, i always turn my VSA off. i find it is the only way i can actually get anywhere. i really don't like the way the VSA limits the engine to supposedly give you more traction.
as for ABS, i would rather have all the help i can get when trying to stop in slippery conditions...
