Okay, so insurance and body shop denied me, I am in the process of getting a second opinion for any frame damage or quick repairs to show there are no inequalities. There has been previous body work on the bumper thus the reason for the cracking. I will admit defeat on this one, I'm just gonne buy anaftermarket bumper and paint it to match.

I thought of this on the way home though, because it is lowered.... the suspension has less travel to the wheel well. It must have impacted the well, causing a twist on the body to cause the ripple effect on the roof without damage to any "crush zones" as the body shop explained.
It does have a difference in lines depth from the fender the hood comparing left to right.
My luck, they will say since theyre aftermarket suspension, causing the less travel = not insured.

They claim there is no frame damage and also state that the roof damage a well as the crack in the bumper is not consistent with the accident. WTF!?

You did bumper work and claim that crack is NOT part of my accident? uhhh... you need to find a new job!

I'm goin to see her face to face tomorrow and request a honda dealer to get a second opinion. Fire will be set if there are any more denials on their part.

lol yeah i noticed i pasted the wrong link, i may have fixed it the same time hehe

So, now the argument is to have insurance cover it after they have already done the work i showed them. I did NOT notice this for it wasn't anywhere near the impact not thinking to check the entire car!?
wish me luck fellas! It does have a lifetime guarantee however that is on the work they DID perform naturally

To add injury to the insult, I was honest and mentioned this quarter sized damage was previous damage and not expected to repair it, however this crack was not as evident on the day i dropped it off. They may have cracked it when removing the bumper to do the body work. AGAIN! they will say since prior damage it weakened the integrity causing it to crack even under ordinary removal process.

My daughter drove my lovely golden chariot into a curb a few weeks ago  Cry

I have great coverage with geico and submitted a claim to repair the bumper, replace the rim and tire and verify there was no suspension or frame damage. All of which they did, same tire (kumho) rim (factory honda) and light body work on the bumper.

When picking up the car I noticed an additional dent at the driver rear corner of the sunroof, the dealer stated that was there upon arrival but I had not noticed it prior. okay... I swear it wasn't because i wrapped the roof not long ago.

Just the next day I noticed the same kind of dent in the passenger front corner! Now, I'm not an engineer but I am mechanical. That being said it is my simple thinking that says the car was severely stressed at the front driver corner where it hit the curb at 40 mph that it tweaked the roof and bowed in at the corners of something solid within the somewhat flexible material being the roof.

I am submitting this, to gfather your opinions before I meet with the adjuster monday ior tuesday to discuss it.

Pictures to follow shortly to help visualize
6  Electrical / Headlights, Tail Lights, HID's, LED's, & Other Lighting / Re: The Only Fog Light Thread You Should Ever Post In on: August 12, 2012, 09:13:37 PM
No wonder everyone likes you Tim Smiley thanks for the quick response too sir
Yes, I would like to oprate my fogs independently. I did see how some people modified the switch at the dash, but you have the better idea of just modifying the harness to skip right past the mechanics of the relay.
I did locate one relay notes NC but in that diagram, it doesn't show the location, just in a list. I did have trouble finding the installation guide however.
You sir, are saving me even more money which just means money to be spent some other mod :p

I ordered the cheap ebay fogs, okay, so I threw out the switch harness and relay because they were obviously the wrong set and I've read plenty about them causing problems.
I ordered the OEM harness and switch but when I go to order the relay, they are $40 each! What I am willing to do is create my own relay basically from parts, but what I need to know is the wiring schematic for each of them.

Can anyone tell me wha the diagram looks like or do they know what wire does what, such as which two are the coil and the other two are NO (normally open) or NC (normally closed) I have found through searching that one is NC and I would say because its when the High beams come on, it wants to turn off the fogs. I hjust need to know whether the blue or brown is which one and which pair is the coil and if there are any jumpers at the relay.
8  Electrical / Headlights, Tail Lights, HID's, LED's, & Other Lighting / Diode Dynamics warranty on: August 06, 2012, 10:38:33 AM
So last night I experienced the common frustration of the one lamp episode. I noticed only one of my expensive HID conversion headlights are out and wondering if I joined the club of regret.

I looked it up online at the website I ordered it from Diodedynamics.com and they go through a troubleshooter sequence and then proceed to say it is covered under warranty! I called this morning and she walked right through my order and says I'll have it in 2-3 days!

You mean to tell me there is a corporation out there that actually backs up their product with the warranty they claim to have! Excellent! I would suggest this to anyone considering lighting upgrades, they lso have LED packages as well, check em out, it's a safe buy.
9  Electrical / Audio Systems / Re: Audio/Video Q&A Thread on: July 16, 2012, 01:14:35 AM
Ok, thanks for your honesty Tim, I agree, the price is quite steep. I'll just get used to the location and possibly add the adapter to get my steering controls back
10  Electrical / Audio Systems / crutchfield adapter on: July 15, 2012, 09:38:12 AM
Ok, I have an EX coupe with dual zone climate controls. I put in my fancy dancin aftermarket H/U in the cubby place like crutchfield says to do and hooked up all my schtuff.

The problem is, I don't like the location in the old cubby spot and I miss my burlwood fancy hideaway Smiley

The solution would be to get the adapter for the MANUAL A/C CONTROL version that puts the H/U where it belongs by removing my interface for climate controls turning them into manual knobs. I agree, it would seem a bit cheesier than our smooth looking dash and may ruin the look, but for functionality, I may suffer with it.
It is this http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120997864/Honda-Accord-Factory-Integration-Adapter.html?tp=3486

My question is, has anyone done this and what their reactions are, in fact I'll take opinions from people who have NOT done this either. I noticed in the reviews there is a delay from the knob to the actual effect..I'm not concerned with a delay. I also realize I will lose my dual climate control (i dont care)
11  Lounge / General Automotive & Forum Discussion / Re: What did you do to your Gen7 today? on: July 14, 2012, 11:56:12 AM
Rplaced my failed attempt to smoke the headlights with nite shades with the proper jdm black housed smoked lens headlights. I also sprayed the evaporator cleaner up the drain line since it was jacked up for easier access, stop the stank before it starts! lol

For those who say no pics =  didnt happen

Thank you for the correction on the motor type, im not too proud to be mistaken. Part of the reason I join forums is to get advice and ideas as well as to share any I may have to inspire others.
Thanks tim for that as well, will help others view easier. Is there a way to get that "code" transferred? I do see the links above the window, but your template.....I manually entered your profile template. what can I say, I'm a hard worker that does things the hard way. Hey.. she never complained... <rim shot>  Cheesy

It's clean so far cuz I haven't done much  Sad but as long as the paychecks keep comin in, the mods will be also  Cool
I did spend a few hours detailing it, so its "that" kinda clean too  Tongue
