That's good to know Paul. I've been known to throw my car around turns and cloverleaf on ramps (my post a few weeks back about sliding sideways on wet pavement) but my oil level has remained fairly consistent at the high mark. Any idea if the K oil pan is baffled? If not, looks like I have another project up my sleeve.

My next motor will have a Type S oil pump in it, so hopefully that will help alleviate that issue.

Are you going to have a modded types s pump? I've read that it has cavitation issues at high rpm. People either mod it to fix the issue or mod an s2k pump slightly to bolt up.

The ERL S2000 oil pump is about $500, so I'm not sure if I can afford it with this build.  The Type S oil pump should be fine at the redline I am planning.  I'm not planning on the redline going over 7500-8000.

I gotcha. Yeah, the type S pump would be perfectly fine at that redline. Hell, that's the way Honda designed it.

I've been doing more research, and considering the redline I will have, I'm not going to really need to pull the bottom of the motor off just to swap oil pumps.  I'd rather not pull the motor apart and have a potential for problems down the road.  The K24A2 oil pump should be fine up to an 8k redline.  The Type S oil pump should only be good up to a 9k redline, the ERL modified S2000 oil pump is good up to a 10k redline.
