Suspension interchangability

Just wondering here. Obviously, we all know that Hondas are king when it comes to interchanging parts from one chassis to another as well as transcending generations of a single chassis. I've been doing a little bit of reading but can't come up with a straight answer to my question. Are there any suspension bits from previous gens, namely 6th gen spring/ strut combo, that will work with the 7th gen? I know the top hats are different but the question has popped back into my head and I figured I'd pose the question. Would it work so long as the top hats are changed?

I've seen people use 7th gen stuff on 6th gens. Change the top hats and check the spring rates and I'm pretty sure you would be good.

That's what I thought. I just had a bitch of a time finding that info. Gotta love how so much can be swapped from other chassis and generations! Woot Honda!
Sorry about that.

Ask Brian, (Stirfriedferret). He is running 6th Gen Supercup kit on his, and all he did was changethe top hat.

That's not the case at all. As per the post Alex put up, there's suspension offerings that were never made available to the 7th gen that existed for the 6th. Bilstein HD shocks for example. Yes, we can use stuff from the TSX and 3rd gen TL but knowing there are other options available widens possibilities.
