Just woke up.
Rich, you're in for a lot of fun. My advice would be to drop the sub frame. Trust me. It will be a lot easier than trying to wrestle out the rack.

Been there, done that on another Accord a few years back when I was just winging it....PITA, I agree. Yeah the service manual suggest a 1-1/8" drop of the rear of the subframe.

You'll still be fighting with it. If you can get an engine brace to hold it from up top, and drop the sub frame completely, it will be 100 times easier.
