Tell me about it. We're saving about $150 a month by switching too. I'm currently running the stock rooted ROM with Code Blue kernel, Xposed and GravityBox module. Any recommendations on other ROMs to use?

Slim or stock. My team is working on a little something now but we just started. Ironing out some issues with it before we release.
As for kernels, I'm a big fan of UBER. Never cared for code blue.

Still in early stages. As I also have a nexus 5, I'll be doing testing. I'll check with the guys and see if they have a problem with shooting you a build.

No worries. I just set up MultiROM, so I can pretty much do whatever the heck I want without having to lose my daily use ROM. This phone keeps getting more and more awesome as I use it.

Got the 32GB in black for $400 on the google play store.

I actually went to Worst Buy a few weekends ago and bought the only one they had in stock, but they didn't know if it was 16GB or 32GB. It was $400, so I figured it must be a 32GB, right? Wrong. Opened it at the counter, then immediately returned it because it was a 16GB.

I'm also using a Caseology "distress leather" TPU case and an Anker screen protector, both from Amazon. I'm thinking about building a custom wooden wireless charging dock like this one guy's:

I used a Qi charger but it really seems to effect the WiFi. I have to restart every time I take it off the charger

Got two Moto X's for my mom and stepdad, and now we're going to return them. Both of them have an issue where their voices cut in and out repeatedly when they're talking to me or anyone else. Problem disappears when it's switched to speakerphone. Apparently it's a pretty big issue on the Moto X from the googling I've done so far.

Looks like now they're going to get Nexus 5's like me. Fuck, I no longer have the coolest phone in the family!

What kind of battery life have you guys been getting on the N5? Of course mine's gotten worse since I started rooting and ROMing.



I'm running the latest Mahdi rom with the kernel is came with, ElementalX governor, 2048mb read ahead buffer size, deadline scheduler, and ondemand for GPU governor.

I swear i keep seeing pics with people getting 6+ hours of screen on time. That's freaking crazy. I think my problem is choosing the right combo of cpu governor and I/O scheduler.

That's pretty bad life right there Jeff. I also notice your signal is abysmal. My rom coupled with elementalx kernel is pretty solid. 2573 max/ 300 min, 512 readahead, row scheduler, slightly UV. Yesterday I put it on to charge with 18% left and that was after 29 hours off charge with 4 hours sot.

Yeah, I always seem to get shitty signal inside my apartment and at class. I'm always on either home or school WiFi though, so that shouldn't matter too much. I've been noticing a lot of UI stuttering too.

I just switched back to the Uber 4.9.2 sabermod kernel. I'm going to give that a shot with some of your settings and report back.

I just switched off uber and get better battery and performance with elemental. I'm making a new build now if you want to give it a try. We haven't released yet so mum's the word.
