Trust me. My car is nothing compared to someone else's 7th Gen. My car is slow compared to that.
eh... havent sat in a stock 7th gen for a while.... i feel my car is slower than stock =T maybe im expecting too much or ive gotten used to my own car. dont got anything to compare my car to so i dunno where all my $ is going.
its a N/A tune... but its built k20/k24 engine.... hrm... so what basemap did you use to start with for the tune? maybe i can just use that map and adjust all the parameters to what its at now and see if the engine will go past 6k. (heh i spent over 1g on tuning and i dont wanna dish out more money just to see if it might work =P)
and for your tune... did you set the vss to constant?
and you said that your obd2 reader can tell what the real temp of the coolant is? like an accurate reading? shouldnt the kpro also have an accurate reading of the ECT?
plus does your CEL from the harness actually work? ive hooked up the kpro to a laptop and it would show a error but the light doesnt light up. i dont remember what the error is from exactly but it occurs when my car cranks a little longer than usual to start for some odd ball reason and at the same time, the car doesnt rev past 4k when that happens... when i turn the car off and on, the car runs normal again but the error is still logged, but no light. (kinda redundant but hope it makes sense)
hrm... what you mean its the base map? i tried to get the car tuned and the tuner said the car wont go past 6k even if he sets the fuel cut @ like 10k.
so does that mean like he needs to tune from scratch? (not sure if thats possible) and he said he started with the tsx basemap.
what is considerd a good compression test? is it as long as all 4 cylinders have similar readings then its good? or do we have to calculate compresion of our piston x atm and make sure our compression is atually at that compression?
also, what is considered an unreasonable amount of oil lost? i think im losing like 1-2 quarts every 3 months, should i be worried? running on 5w30
well its not cracked cracked... the rubber is mostly black and still looks good but where it bends or folds when the door closes on it has turned white and looks like it is dying/cracking.. not torn yet
wow, so i should have the pc running @ 6? ive been working it @ 2-3 like the bottle says..... if i run it @ 6.... how do you guys handle the vibration? i cant do more than 15min @ 4 since it vibrates like crazy and my hand goes numb.. is there a way to counter that? im running 6.5 pads and i have the 6.5 counter weight already.
Probably. You'll just have to look around for one. What do you have against a round gauge?
eh... just want to keep a low profile.. lots of cops with nth to do in my hood so if i got bright round gauges sticking around, they gonna harass me =T
if im using a LC orange pad (light cut) with my 7424 and it takes me like 5 passes to get some scratches out... does it mean i should have used like a medium cut pad instead? or does it mean i just need a stronger compound? currently using optimum compound.
also, is there a way to fix rock chips or damage from people parking into my car with their plates without repainting the whole thing?
