Paint the whole thing!!! After blending the front and rear bumpers into the other panels you'll be half way there any way

I was just gonna have the bumpers painted and that's it.  Really didn't think I'd have to worry about blending, especially on a dark color, but maybe I will...

I would def. have it blended. If your as picky as I am not having it done will drive you nuts.

Steve - Yeh, I could never come around to liking how they looked, and I still couldn't figure out how to make them work with the lower grille installed, so they just sat in my garage and are now being sold.  I like the Inspire look more.

Man, you have an awesome car! Where did you get the "2.4 i-Vtec" badges? It's tempting to imitate your badge style, lol. Maybe I'll switch it up and put the iVtec on my front grill. :P

Also, are those cold cathodes under the steering wheel? Just asking because I've got the exact same looking lights in my computer. LOL. I wonder how you wired them.

Thanks Jeff.  The emblems were bought from http://www.collegehillshonda.com (http://www.collegehillshonda.com) if I remember correctly.  They replicate how the Accord is badged down in Australia.  And yes, the tubes under the dash and seats are cold cathodes, purchased from http://www.oznium.com (http://www.oznium.com).  They are wired to a switch in my dash, with the power coming from the cigarette lighter in the center console.  Timot_one helped me wire everything, so you can contact him if you need some advice.

Updated the profile with a few new mods that I did within the last couple of months, which include:

Custom OEM Paint-Matched Engine Pieces
Bonded Logic Under-Hood Reflective Heat & Sound Insulation Cutouts
OEM Paint-Matched BMW M3-Style 45” Rear Windshield Roof Spoiler
2 FlowLighting 4" White In-Trunk Cathodes
Nashua Stretch & Seal Silicone Sealing Tape For Coilover Thread Protection

I also replaced some oem items that were in need of repair, but I don't consider those to be major mods.  More serious mods are on the way within the next few weeks... front end "conversion"...?

My fogs ended up turning on by themselves overnight and juicing my battery a few weeks ago, so right now the fuse if removed and I don't turn them on.  Tim believes that I may have damaged a relay when I detailed my engine bay, so we have to figure out if this is the case before I buy a new relay.

Very sexy Dave!!!

I like how the fogs came out witht the bumper, plus the projecters are sweet. Can't wait to see this in person.

Arie, the fogs have been installed for a while now.  The more recent addition (as part of my update) are the new S2K projectors that you see in the pic, as well as a few other things.  I haven't seen you in a long time homie.

Yeah brother, it has been a while. I tried to free up some time to head up north but all tries failed.  Hopefully, we'll have a quick and easy winter so we can meetup sometime in the spring.

I can't until after February 12. I'm studying full time for my LSAT on that date. once the exam is done, I'm free. Maybe we can set something up for then.

Had some setbacks due to a minor front end collision with a deer in May.  After a lot of repairs, the car is back on the road, and the mods list above has been updated accordingly.

Honestly, I wouldn't know where to start.

^ Well, are you trying to do the valve cover (mine's red), or the intake manifold and spark plug covers (mine are grey)?

All of the above lol, painting all 3 covers.

Well, in regards to the red engine valve cover, I bought mine that way because they do sell K-series engine covers in the JDM red design.  I wouldn't be too sure how to do this type of thing on your own for the valve cover, but I'm sure others have done it and there are how-to's somewhere.  For the intake manifold and spark plug covers, you can get grey ones from the Acura TSX and I think the Acura RSX, which you can see in my pics.  However, I've also made a set of paint-matched engine covers in graphite pearl too.  The process for making them on your own is to sand down the engine covers a bit so they are scuffed up, spray some primer, wet sand that a bit, then a high-heat paint, than a high-heat clear coat.  Using a high-heat paint and primer is your best option because the heat of the engine will crack regular paint over time.

I could be wrong but I think that recall was V6 specific

As far as I know it is the V6 tranny that had the recall... however, I've met a few ppl who have had problems with their i4 auto's as well.

You guys are all missing my point... If you got the recall last night it was not the recall listed in that link. The recall in the link was issued in 2004 which was the recall on the V6 transmission.

The recall you got on the I4's wouldn't apply to Dave's 03 at least at this point because the software is different. The change they make is to the computer to make it shift slower between reverse, drive, and neutral. This avoids damage to the secondary shaft bearing...

Here is an article.

So how does it not apply to my year then Mike?

Regardless, when there is a major recall, such as for transmission issues, isn't Honda supposed to contact you by mail or something?  I feel like there has to be a few major recalls on my car from the past, yet the only one I remember getting notified about was the ignition interlock thing.

If you look at that article the recall applies to 04 and up I believe. Perhaps the programming changed between you 03 and the affected years. Visit Honda Owners link, and sign up if you haven't. It should have all the major recalls for your car if you enter you vin.
