Yeh, wth? If you can't use brake cleaner on rotors and stuff, than what CAN you use it on?? I didn't even let the stuff dry; everything got washed with soap and water at the same time.

You are suppose to use hot soapy water to clean rotors. You can use brake cleaner on new rotors to get the oil film off. Afterwards, you are suppose to use hot soapy water. Brake cleaner evaporates very quickly and what it does is magentize metal particles together. This will cause rotors to squeek from time to time.

Interesting. My rotors have squeaked well before ever using brake cleaner on them, however. I guess I did this partially correct though, because I used soapy water on them... the water just wasn't hot lol.

Do you spray the disc quiet stuff right on the rotors?
