2  K Series Performance / Stock Motors, Transmissions, & Maintenance / burning insane amounts of oil.... on: February 10, 2011, 04:59:40 PM
Damn, I haven't posted in a while due to other motor related projects. But my timing chain jumped (which I replaced) and I seem to be burning lots of oil(quart/tank). I suspect it is my valve stem seals but I am not sure, the pcv has been replaced 2 questions, how do I check them without dismantling? And what special tools are needed to swap them out?(Never replaced them before) not sure if anything else would cause oil to burn. Posting quickly before work and I'll check back later.

Edit: KE4

I'm the tl exhaust guy. Just some stock tl canisters purchased from a tl forum and a straight pipe from the header @ 2.25" finished off with the stock sedan cutouts.

If stage 2 crower camashafts or evene skunk2 camshafts meant a little less power but better daily driveability I'd be more inclined to purchase them. And was I correct on the exhaust half of the camgear?

does anyone have the png or lossless version of the cm5/6 outlines? like the ones on the tshirts? interested in the sedan specifically.

Looking to change a few internals and get a little more power out of my daily grocery getter/commuter.

1. Brian Crower Stage 3 Camshafts             #BC0052
2. Brian Crower Spring and Retainers           #BC0050
3. Hondata K-Pro ECU for tunability

I'm currently running all boltons: TSX IM, hondata gasket, dc header, fujita intake, custom exhaust (i'm the tl exhaust guy from gen7), unorthodox full pulley kit and i think thats it. its a 2003 2.4l automatic for reference.

what camgear should i get to match up with this stuff?
and
what is your opinion of this stuff based on the fact that i commute about 60miles daily and would like a little more uph. Need some help from the motor heads. My buddy owns a speedshop so labor will be @ no cost to me, just parts.

Thanks again in advance.
