I have always wondered how long you all will keep your cars. I know I plan on keeping mine until I graduate college.

Probably for the next 5 years. I drive so much, I think my car will be worthless after that.

i plan on keeping it for the next 6 years at least while i am in the navy. after i get out, i want to get another car and make the gen7 my toy car. when that happens the accord will get some big power upgrades

Im pretty much with everyone else. Ill drive my Accord until the engine goes, then it will become my project car. Once the original engine dies I will be enlisting Paul's services and swapping it for a boosted J37.
As far as my next car, definitely another Honda.....although I cant decide between leasing a Civic sedan :twisted:

I am getting bitten in the ass real hard now by this finantial crisis. My wife became redundant few days back like thousands of other people here.
But hopefully FOREVER, i wont even eat or smoke to make sure she stays.

The term redundant is used in uae more often than hello.

I plan on keeping mine even after she can't run no more. When she's done being financed, hopefully I will have a pretty decent job with a Japanese car maker or Ford and get incentives for buying a new luxury sports sedan. I'm shooting for the twin-turbo MKS, TL SHAWD, GS 430, or M45, although Nissan and Ford arent really hiring at this time. woo hoo keeping on dreaming

well as you guys know i plan to only have the accord for like another month and then thats it.... but when i first got it i had all intensions of buying it out after the lease was up, but seeing that the stupid economy took a shit and my buy out is more that i can buy same car off the lot for cheaper there was no reason for me to buy it out...
the sad part is that now im getting used to the TL im wishing i had some of my accord features in it.... who knows maybe one day if they decide to make another accord that i like ill buy one again!

I've had my '03 Redondo Red Sedan for 4 1/2yrs almost. Be paid off in December beeeeeoches!!!! Im going to love not having to pay that car note, it's got 131k on it now, I'm about to do a shit load of maintenance on it, so that should take it to 200k easily *knock on wood* And with the economy like it is, I don't want to be stuck with a new or newer car note. No thank you.
My '04 NBP coupe will probably be the same way - 76k on her now. Just keep it til I pay it off and keep on driving it, no sense in selling a Honda unless it's taking a oil dump on your driveway. I plan to keep it till it can't drive no more. Then it will be replaced with an NSX. Will be boring the nsx and stroking it to close to 4.0L if possible after a total rebuild. Basically just need the shell n a motor. All suspension will be aftermarket. interior would be suede... hahah. I love that NSX since day one

exact same thing i want to do! do a motor and tranny swap when they get worn out and what not.

I will keep my accord until it can't push no more, then I will do an engine/tranny swap! I LOVE MY ACCORD!!! It was the best decision I ever made :) I'm only at 82K so I know I have years to goOooo....
