.45 in such a small frame? I wouldn't run that high a caliber in anything smaller than a Glock 38 but that's not a .45 auto round anyway.

What do you guys think about a Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry .45? I want one for my 21st birthday.

I guess he has money to burn. I'd rather waste my money on parts that actually make my car faster, hookers, and drugs. Fucking amateurs. :

Short barreled 1911? Not a bad choice especially considering its a Kimber. Shot it before?
As for my inquiry, I've shot and carried the Beretta M9 and Sig P226 just for a reference. I like the feel of the Sig but want something different from what I carry. What's you guys' take on the FMK 9C1? The company's fairly new to the game but have gotten gun of the month awards from multiple magazines if it makes any difference.

I haven't. I started liking it because of the way it looked but from all the research I've done it seems like a pretty good gun.

Keep in mind, the recoil out of that sumbitch is going to be more than a standard 1911 at that caliber. Ever shot a short barreled .45?

Haha nope. I have minimal experience with pistols. I have shot them, but not many. I guess I should start shooting some to decide if that's what I really want.

I'll check that out.
What do you guys think about a Kimber Ultra CDP II? It is a 9mm with a 3" barrel.

Less kick and with the right ammo, pretty good stopping power.

Depends on what you want. I started with shotguns because I hunt fowl. Shotguns price range varies. I probably started on a $300 gun now my best shotgun is around $1000. The pistol pictured about is about $1400. What do you want it for?

The Judge is not all that great from what I've heard. Never shot it, but know a few folks that have em. I keep a few hand guns around for personal protection and a 12 gauge with an 18" home defense barrel for the heavy lifting (I have a contractor on speed dial just in case I need to use it, lol). I like to shoot rifles for fun. .308, .300 win mag, 7mm mag, 45-70, etc...
Why start small, go straight to the big guns. Get a Barrett and watch everyone run in fear! I got a chance to shoot one and it's quite the experience (they are made about 5 miles from my house). At $5 per round, play time gets expensive. I wouldn't suggest you shoot it without the muzzle brake unless someone is around to help put your shoulder back in its socket.
