So I searched and could not find a direct answer but I am wondering if there are any differences in the size/shape of the hoods on the coupe/sedan?  I.E are they interchangeable?

I received my CF hood today, and although I ordered the Coupe model they shipped me the sedan model instead.  I contacted VIS and they said that the hoods are the same and that it should bolt right on. Since I have not been home from work yet I have not been able to see for myself but I thought I would ask her first.

I would think since it appears they look the same, and since I believe the fenders are identical that the hoods have to be the same as well?

If so, then why doesn't the bumper line up?

I don't know...i looked it up...found a similar topic in driveaccord...one guy said the coupe hood is longer...and ikethegreat said the sedan hoods don't fit on coupes and the coupe hoods don't fit on sedans ...that's all i could find...if this is true...looks like you'll be calling them again...

I think they're different. Differences might be subtle.

If they are the same, why does VIS list, on their own website, different model numbers for the 2D and 4D hoods in each style?

Even Honda gives the coupe and sedan hoods different model numbers, 60100-SDP-A90ZZ and 60100-SDB-A90ZZ respectively.

Thats what I thought too...I kept asking if they are the same then why have seperate model #'s but he assured me that it will fit.  Guess I will just have to test it when I get home?  I am seriously hoping it fits and the box was just midlabeled.

I'm sure it will "fit" but how will it "sit"?

Right thats what I mean, I just hope it lines up and sits right more than anything else.  Really don't feel like having to deal with returning it and waiting for another one.

It will definitely bolt on but the latch won't catch and the hood will sit pretty short. I can't remember the guy on v6p that used a coupe hood on his sedan but he basically had no grill and I believe he had to modify his hood latch to make it work.

They should eat the shipping cost to have it sent back....they shouldn't charge you anything else, especially with how expensive they are...

The fender lines are different there will be gaps or won't fit as far as width. I have a sedan hood in my garage right now

Test fitted the hood, so I can finally put the debate to rest for all.  See below:
(PS - I know my car is dirty)

Drivers side: Approx. 1.2cm gap

Passenger side: Approx. 1.4cm gap

Front Gap: Approx. 2cm between grill and hood

Front Corners:  All kinds of crazy gap/angle issues.

Carbon Fiber Hood (Sedan) vs. Coupe Hood (Stock)

Here is a video going into greater detail:

As far as my situation, I sent all of this to the seller and he is forwarding everything to VIS as we speak to resolve the issue so I am happy that he sticks by his service.  I will keep the situation updated.
